16 COLORS - TERMS OF SERVICE ============================ Effective: October 20, 2026 These terms cover your use of 16 Colors (https://16colors.net), run by FilmSchool.app ("we"). By using the site you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use it. THE SERVICE ----------- 16 Colors is a free collection of puzzle games in a retro desktop. You can play without an account. Logging on with Google lets you keep your games, options and records across devices. Your use of the site is also covered by our Privacy Policy: https://16colors.net/privacy YOUR ACCOUNT ------------ You are responsible for your Google account and for activity on 16 Colors while you are logged on. You can delete your 16 Colors account at any time from Records > Account > Delete my account. REGISTRATION AND PAYMENT ------------------------ 16 Colors is free to play. You can choose to register to support it: * Registered: a yearly subscription. It renews automatically at the price shown when you registered unless you cancel. You can cancel any time from Start > Registration > Manage; you stay registered until the end of the year you paid for. * Founder: a single payment that keeps you registered for as long as 16 Colors runs. Founder places are limited. If you're already Registered, what you paid for your current year counts toward the Founder price, and your yearly subscription ends when you upgrade. Payments are processed by Stripe, which acts as the seller (merchant of record) for these purchases. It handles your payment details and any sales tax or VAT, and its terms apply to the payment itself. We never see your card details. Refunds: if you're not happy, email hello@16colors.net within 14 days of a payment for a full refund. After that, payments are not refundable, except where the law requires otherwise. Registration supports the site; it does not buy ownership of any game, and the games stay free for everyone. If 16 Colors ever shuts down, registration ends with it. FAIR USE -------- Please don't: * Try to break, overload, or get unauthorized access to the site or other people's accounts * Use bots or scripts to flood the server or tamper with records * Use the site for anything illegal We may suspend or delete accounts that do these things. PROFILE PICTURES ---------------- 16 Colors is meant to be a break from the news: a quiet, slightly old-fashioned place to play. Your handle and your picture should fit it. A good picture is one you'd be happy to see on the box of a game: you, your pet, a drawing, a place you love, something silly. Costumes, fan art, sports teams and holidays are all welcome. Please don't use a picture of: * Politics or causes: politicians, parties, campaigns, slogans, protest signs, flags used as a statement, wars or current events * Hate: symbols, gestures or insignia of hate groups or extremist movements (a swastika, for example), or anything that mocks people for who they are * Nudity or sexual content * Gore, real violence, weapons aimed at the viewer, or drugs * Someone you're not: another player, a celebrity, or 16 Colors staff * Writing, links, handles or contact details, or an advertisement Pictures are checked automatically, and a person may look at them too. Players can report a picture. We may take down any picture that doesn't fit, and limit an account that keeps breaking these rules to the built-in pictures. When we take one down, we tell you why. THE GAMES --------- The games are original recreations of classic puzzle games. The code and graphics are our own work. Game rules are not owned by anyone. 16 Colors is not affiliated with or endorsed by Microsoft or any other company whose games inspired it, and any product names mentioned belong to their owners. NO WARRANTY ----------- 16 Colors is provided free and "as is", without warranties of any kind. We try to keep it running and keep your saved games safe, but we don't promise the site will always be available, error-free, or that saved data will never be lost. We may change, pause, or shut down the service at any time. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY ----------------------- To the fullest extent the law allows, FilmSchool.app is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any loss of data, arising from your use of 16 Colors. Because the service is free, our total liability for any claim is limited to US$0, except where the law does not allow such a limit. CHANGES TO THESE TERMS ---------------------- We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version. If you keep using the site after a change, the new terms apply.
